i heard the low anthem play a live studio set on kcrw's morning becomes eclectic yesterday and was utterly blown away. maybe i'm late on the draw with these guys but they are fantastic and have a true modern folk sound which at some moments sounds strangely like cat stevens (for me, this is not a bad thing). not to mention thoughtful lyrics and creative cover song choices. watch this video and then go take a listen to the live set here.
