i know people have their opinions of eggers...but that doesn't stop me from keeping AHWOSG in my top favorite books. so, of course, i am curious about his new foray in screenwriting and i for one am hopeful about it. it's funny how people have the reflex reaction to make snarky comments and immeadiately dimiss eggers. whatevs. i still love him. however, i did laugh *rather* hard at this early onion-like article about the film...

i love the casting of maggie gyllenhaal and catherine o'hara, but am a little nervous about the john k and maya r roles. could be hit or miss. i'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt if only for the fact i still have faith in the writing of mister eggers. time will tell...
